Willkommen to Biwabik! Biwabik is a Bavarian-themed community on Minnesota’s East Iron Range. It is a town full of arts, culture and recreation. Biwabik is the Gateway to Giants Ridge, which hosts world-class golf in the summer and some of the best winter sports in the State of Minnesota.

While in Biwabik be sure to get a pizza and/or a pasty and stop by the Honk the Moose Statue. Grab a pint and a pretzel. These are very Biwabik things to do. ATV’s and Snowmobiles are the preferred mode of transportation in Biwabik, with access to miles and miles of trails. And, with the Mesabi Trail, non-motorized travel on bicycle is a quality outdoor activity.

Biwabik is known for their annual Fourth of July celebrations including the infamous Calithumpian Parade. In December, Biwabik celebrates the holidays, Bavarian-style with the annual Weihnachtsfest with the highlight…carol singing at the gazebo, tree lighting and the fireworks. Skiing is a big recreational activity in Biwabik which is strengthened by the Pepsi Challenge Ski Race. Also, the Minnesota State High School League hosts the Minnesota State Alpine and Nordic ski meets each year with thousands of skiers coming from all corners of the state. The traditional Charlie Banks Nordic race is always the day before the State Nordic meet, all at these races are at Giants Ridge.

There is plenty to do, great foods to eat, fun things to see and unique places to sleep (including a barn) to make your visit to Biwabik a one of a kind experience
